Biography

Diana Petrova has nine published books, four of which are aimed at children and their parents. Wise Fairy Tales has proved to be a bestseller on the Bulgarian market and has numerous circulations. Fairy Tales for the Whole Family won Biserche Valshebno prize for prenatal reading among its audience. One of the fairy tales from the collection was published in Australia. The Double Planet explored the fraught subject of adopted children and Fairy Tales from Sunrise tells about the culture of Roma communities.

Her first novel Ana was followed by Synesthesia, excerpts from which were presented in B O D Y literary magazine for English speaking audience. The love novel Lilith is part of a complimentary list for reading for students in Sofia University and has two circulations so far. It was followed by Nine Rings, her second love novel. Water Tower treats the subject of computer programmer’s lives.

Diana Petrova has been a jury in two contests for children and teenagers and leads workshops for creative writing for teenagers in Elizabeth Kostova Foundation and The Rabbit Hole.
